River front

Durga Temple

This temple is around two kilometers from Varanasi. It is also called as Monkey Temple as there are lots of monkeys found at this place. Durga is represented as sakti as well as female power and so the shrine of it is in red, riding on the tiger and armed with sword. Alamgir Mosque

This is well known as Beni Madhav Ka Darera. This is the Mosque that was constructed by Aurangazeb over the site of Vishnu Temple. This is the perfect blend of Hindu as well as Mughal style of architecture.

Vishwanath Temple

This is the temple that is situated in the premises of the banaras Hindu University. This was built by Birlas and it is properly planned through Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The bets part of this temple is that it is open for all and not restricted to any caste or creed.

Tulsi Manas Temple

This temple is situated in the south of the Durga temple around one hundred and fifty meters and was constructed in 1964. This temple is dedicated to Lord Rama and is located where Tulsidas, one of the great medieval saints wrote great epic, Shri Ramcharitrmanas. The walls of these temples are carved with scenes as well as versus from the epic.
