Jaisalmer is also referred to as "the Jewel of the Desert" and "the Golden City of India". Jaisalmer Fort

Built in 12th century Jaisalmer Fort is considered to be one of the most superb and magnificent forts of Rajasthan. It is the fort constructed over Trikuta Hill. In height this fort is around 250 ft which is surrounded by 30ft sandstone wall and comprises of 99 bastions. In the fort there is a well known Jain Temple. Jaisalmer Havelis

Jaisalmer havelis are constructed by the wealthy merchants and are well known for their exclusive artwork. You will see beautiful work of yellow and red stone along with bracket shaped decoration of peacocks. Worth visiting havelis of Jaisalmer includes Nathmalji ki haveli, Salim-Singh-ki-haveli and Patwon-ki-haveli.

Gadsisar Sagar Tank

One of the very beautiful and stunning tourist attractions of Jaisalmer is Gadsisar Sagar Tank. This is actually one of the hot favorite picnic spot. Bara Bagh

Jaisalmer is known for the festivals and so this is something that cannot be missed when visiting Jaisalmer. This festival is very vibrant and colorful. It is usually held between the months Jan-Feb each year.
